Rankealo

Zapier & Make

Rankealo does not require a native Zapier app for v1 — use Webhooks by Zapier, Make HTTP modules, or OpenAPI import against the same v1 REST API surface as MCP and agents.

Marketing integration, not a separate runtime

This is a packaged automation guide + OpenAPI catalog. No extra server dependency — workflows call your existing domain-scoped API keys. Write actions (publish, settings) need a write-scoped key and active billing, same as the REST API.

1. Create an API key#

In the app: Integrations → API keys for the domain you want to automate. Use read scope for polling GSC/calendar/visibility. Use write scope only when a Zap or scenario should publish or change settings.

http
Authorization: Bearer rnk_your_api_key_here

2. OpenAPI import (Make)#

Make (Integromat) can import an OpenAPI document and generate HTTP modules. Rankealo publishes a curated automation subset:

Disable public export with V1_OPENAPI_PUBLIC=0 on self-hosted deployments.

3. Zapier — Webhooks by Zapier#

For each step, use Webhooks by Zapier → Custom Request:

  • Method: GET for read endpoints, POST/PATCH for write endpoints (see catalog below).
  • URL: https://app.rankealo.ai/api/v1/…
  • Headers: Authorization: Bearer rnk_… and Content-Type: application/json for bodies.
bash
curl -X GET "https://app.rankealo.ai/api/v1/seo-context/declining-pages?limit=10" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer rnk_your_api_key_here"

Zapier recipes#

Weekly declining-pages digest

Trigger: Schedule by Zapier — every Monday 9:00

Action: Email / Slack / Google Sheets

  • Create a read-scoped API key in Integrations → API keys.
  • Use Webhooks by Zapier → GET with Authorization: Bearer rnk_…
  • URL: https://app.rankealo.ai/api/v1/seo-context/declining-pages?limit=10

Sync content calendar to a spreadsheet

Trigger: Schedule by Zapier — daily

Action: Google Sheets → Create Spreadsheet Row

  • GET https://app.rankealo.ai/api/v1/calendar
  • Map title, scheduled_date, and status fields into sheet columns.

Approve in Notion → publish in Rankealo

Trigger: Notion — database item updated (status = Approved)

Action: Webhooks by Zapier POST publish

  • Requires a write-scoped API key and Growth plan.
  • POST https://app.rankealo.ai/api/v1/articles/{article_id}/publish with empty JSON body.
  • Store Rankealo article_id on the Notion row for mapping.

Make recipes#

Import Rankealo via OpenAPI

Use Make’s OpenAPI import with GET https://rankealo.ai/openapi.json

Modules: HTTP → Make a request → JSON → Parse JSON

Declining pages → project task

Branch when clicks_change_pct ≤ -20 for owned URLs.

Modules: Schedule → HTTP GET declining-pages → Router → Asana/Trello create task

Limits & outbound webhooks#

API keys are rate-limited per key (429 when exceeded). Rankealo does not yet fire outbound webhooks on ranking or decay events — use scheduled polling of seo-context/declining-pages or the in-app Needs refresh queue until native event hooks ship.

Reading is step one. Measuring your AI visibility is step two.

Rankealo tracks how often your brand is mentioned and cited across the major AI engines, then helps you publish the pages that close the gaps.
